Plant Pots
Plant pots are commonplace items in everyday life. They are used
to grow plants and are great because they offer a way to transport and maintain plants both indoors and outdoors.
They can be made from plastic, wood, stone, terra cotta and more recently, biodegradable materials.
Plant pots can also come in a variety of sizes, from small pots to hold
seedling, to very big ones to hold trees. All plant pots have the same basic structure; they are circular or
square and have holes in the bottom to allow for the removal of any excess water the plant may not use. They
may also have a plant pot saucer to
capture excess water, to prevent any water from messing up the surface the pot is on.
Flower plant pots have many different uses; they can be used to
transport plants to different locations, to plant seeds or seedlings, can be used indoor or patio growing of plants
and the growing of plants sensitive to colder climates inside.
Flower pots also help protect plants from any disease or insects
that may kill them if planted in the ground. This is one of the reasons why young plants are planted in pots and
allowed to mature; they are then transferred into the ground or into larger pots.
Biodegradable pots have been used more in recent years because of
their low impact on the environment and their ease of use. They can also be planted directly into the ground
without the need to remove the plant first. They are generally made from peat moss and wood pulp and offer the best
solution for environmental growing.
When purchasing a plant pot, you need to consider the type of plant that will be planted. A
plant’s root system, if strong and large enough, can break through any number of pots. They therefore may need a
strong material, such as stone or a thick plastic plant pot.

Plants with a tap root may also need a longer pot than normal in order to support the growth of
the tap root. Also, for indoor pots, plastic is preferable as these do not leak water readily and are easy to clean
should any dirt happen to spill.
If you are buying small plants to transplant at home, they are
normally sold in small plant pots that can just be torn off or the plant can easily be pulled out and the pot can
be used for another planting project.
Long rectangular planters can be used in an office setting to hold
a large number of plants to create a type of natural short wall.
Plant pots can be made to hang flowers by adding wiring to suspend
it from a hanging support. They can also be decorated to match any design needs. With the right color and pattern,
a plant pot can spice up your patio or room. Plant pots can also be made from old plastic containers you have at
home; these pots are normally made to grow a seedling to maturity or used temporarily until a replacement can be
purchased. Plant pots are a great way to add a touch nature and green to any environment.
